Recapitulation for week 7 work

Let me make a short recap of your assignment for this week.
The idea is to reinterpret the object that you had created and studied in week 6.
This new object will have to include a minimum of three different materials including a metallic surface and a translucent one such as glass.
Your object will have to be in an environment of some sort : on a table, in a forest, in a lab,...
Your object needs to be lit with 2 light sources - a key light and a secondary light.
What matters in this assignment is that you pay great attention to materials and their interaction with light.
As mentioned in class, the style of your image does not necessarily have to be photo real. You can stylize your illustration and go for a finish that appeals to you and that you are naturally drawn to. What is important though, is that you try to be coherent and logical in the way you represent your materials and the way you think about light. Remember that the value studies that you did last week can be of great help in this as there are lots on informations in there to help you in creating a rich image.
I hope you have fun with this.
I am available for advice or questions during the week...
